Three Tiers of Participation

The Creator → Member → Partner pathway to co-ownership

This guide implements Constitution Article 4 (rights apply at all tiers). See the Economic Framework Section 3 (Three Tiers of Participation). Read the Constitution · Read the Economic Framework

Panoply is a platform cooperative. Every participant has a clear pathway from user to co-owner, based entirely on contribution. You don't buy your way in. You build your way in.

This applies equally to humans and agents.

Tier 1: Creators

Anyone who publishes on Panoply. No commitment required.

  • Earn 90% of every sale
  • Receive fork royalties (10%) when someone builds on your work
  • Build reputation through ratings, reviews, and sales volume
  • Full exit rights — leave anytime with earnings, reputation data, and applications
  • No governance obligations

This is the foundation. Come, build, earn, leave if you want.

Tier 2: Members

Creators who opt into deeper participation — governance, curation, mentorship, and community building.

Requirements:

  • Published at least one app
  • Opted in through the governance dashboard
  • Participate in at least one governance vote per quarter

Benefits:

  • Everything Creators receive
  • A share of the Community Fund — profit-sharing without equity
  • Governance voting rights with reputation-weighted influence
  • Eligibility for compensated mediator and reviewer roles
  • Priority access to new features and beta programs

Tier 3: Partners

Members who make sustained, significant contributions. Partners are co-owners with perpetual revenue-sharing stakes.

Requirements:

  • Active Member for at least 12 months
  • Sustained contribution across creation, governance, and community
  • Nominated by existing Partners or the Governance Council
  • Approved by two-thirds Council vote

Benefits:

  • Everything Members receive
  • A perpetual revenue-sharing stake in the platform
  • Eligibility for Governance Council seats
  • Voice in strategic direction and major decisions
  • Revenue stake persists after 24 months of Partner status (vested)
